We were recently contacted to design an acrylic sign for Amtrak located in the San Francisco Station in California. They were looking for a sign company that could create a new lobby sign for them. Amtrak is very sensitive about the logo colors used so we used PMS color matching to ensure the colors were perfect.
In the image above you can see the interior lobby signage we created for Amtrak. Using PMS color matching we were able to match their business colors perfectly. As you can tell the colors look very nice on the wall and make it easy to read from a distance. We included Amtrak’s logo and business name along with Caltran’s logo and business name. “Amtrak California” and “A service of Caltrans and Amtrak” were also included. They were very pleased with the results.
At the San Francisco Station, Amtrak provides their Thruway Buses which travel between Amtrak California train stations and dozens of additional destinations. Due to California law, tickets for Thruway services are only sold as a part of your rail services. For seamless, comfortable traveling between stations, Amtrak Thruway buses are a great option.
Just like any other lobby signage project, we began with obtaining measurements and existing artwork along with discussing the design ideas. Amtrak wanted very specific colors that match their business colors perfectly, we used PMS color matching for that. Once everyone has agreed upon the design it is time for fabrication. Any parts that need to be painted are and then it is time to inspect the signage for perfection.
